THE UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES BOARD

The University of Applied Sciences Board, the members of which are rep-resentatives appointed by the students, personnel and the external associates, has the highest authority within the educational administration of the Polytechnic. The President acts as the Chair of the University of Applied Sciences Board. Four of the twelve members are from outside North Karelia University of Applied Sciences. The Board makes decisions concerning such matters as degree programmes and fields of specialisation, starting places and the number of students, degree regulations, curricula, student selections and organising tests as well as personal politics and staff training. The Student Aid Financial Committee, the Board of Examiners and the College of Exam iners are appointed by the University of Applied Sciences Board.
