Degree-awarding education

Study at the University of Applied Sciences leads to a higher education degree and to practical skills. Studies vary in length from 210 to 270 ECTS credits and last 3.5 to 4.5 years.

Adult education leading to a degree
Specialised studies

Adult education aims to support multi-professional education, advanced expertise and new possibilities. Cooperation with the degree programmes and projects at the University of Applied Sciences provides students with a high quality education.

Master's degrees

Master's degrees are a new form of higher education in Finland. Post-graduate studies, focusing on knowledge management in the field of technology, communication and transport were initiated at North Karelia University of Applied Sciences in autumn 2003.

This form of education servesthe increasing demands of business and working life. It also creates a deeper understanding of the field, and promotes career advancement. The overall programme is 60 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) points, and is divided into two main parts.
