At Open Studies you can choose from a range of diverse courses, whatever your age or background.

Completed open studies can compensate parts of a degree programme, should you later decide to apply for one.

Guiding Principles for Open Studies at NKUAS

•  Open Studies are based on curricula of NKUAS and they are open to everyone regardless of age or educational background.

•  You study in classrooms, small groups, at home. You listen, read, write, discuss and acquire knowledge through down-to-earth methods.

•  When open studies end, you will get an official transcript of records.

•  If you decide to study in our degree programme later, you can apply for addition of your open study credits into our degree studies.

•  Open Studies are not regarded as full-time studying as they do not lead to graduation.

•  Therefore you are not entitled to study grant or other study-related social benefits.

•  Do not hesitate to turn us if you have any questions. We at NKUAS, both staff, student offices, tutors and lecturers, are here to help you in any study-related questions or problems.

Study fees
The fee of 100 € entitles the student to take any number of courses at the Open University of Applied Sciences during one semester.

The fees for separate courses are the following
1 credit 25 €
2 credits 50 €
3 credits 75 €
4 credits < 100 €

Students and unemployed people are entitled to a 50 % discount on the fees.
